Example: “I’m not as experienced with cold calling, but I am open to learning more about it. I understand that it’s an important part of selling, so I would be happy to take any training courses or read up on tips for making successful cold calls.”

3. How much experience do you have working in field service?

Field service is a common role for Ricoh employees. The company wants to know if you have the skills and experience needed to succeed in this position. If you don’t have field service experience, consider talking about your customer service or troubleshooting abilities.

Example: “I’ve worked as a field technician for five years. I started out working for a small business that provided IT services. If so, be prepared to talk about your experience with these programs.

Example: “I’ve been using Microsoft Office since I was in high school. In my last role, I had to create presentations and documents on a regular basis. I also regularly use Excel to manage budgets and track sales numbers.”

9. Which area of information technology would you like to focus on?

This question is a great way to show the interviewer your knowledge of information technology and how you can contribute to Ricoh’s IT department. When answering this question, it can be helpful to mention an area that aligns with the job description or one that you have experience in.

13. Would you be willing to work overtime if necessary?

Employers ask this question to see if you’re willing to work extra hours when needed. They want employees who are dedicated and hardworking, so they may be more likely to hire someone who is willing to put in the extra effort. When answering this question, it can be helpful to mention a time you worked overtime or stayed late at work.

16. Tell me about a time when you saw something wrong and decided to take action.

This question can help an interviewer learn more about your problem-solving skills and how you handle conflict. When answering this question, it can be helpful to describe a specific situation where you saw something wrong happening at work or in the community and took action to fix it.

Example: “At my last job, I noticed that some of our customers were having trouble using our products because they didn’t understand the instructions. I talked with my manager about this issue, and we decided to hire someone who could translate the instructions into Spanish. This helped us reach new customers while also helping our existing ones.”

17. What makes you a competitive candidate for this position?

Employers ask this question to learn more about your qualifications and how you can contribute to their company. In your answer, explain why these skills are important and provide an example of how you’ve used them in a previous role.

Example: “I believe I’m a competitive candidate because of my extensive knowledge of Ricoh products and services. This has helped me become familiar with Ricoh’s unique features and understand how our systems can benefit clients.”

18. How will you approach being productive during slow days?

Employers ask this question to make sure you have strategies for staying productive and focused during these times. In your response, share two or three ways that you stay motivated when the workload is light.
