1. What is your experience with security?

2. Tell me about a time you had to make a difficult decision in the workplace, how did you handle it?

3. How would you explain Zscaler’s services to someone who has no technical knowledge of cloud computing?

14. Have you ever taken on additional responsibilities outside of your job description?

15. How long have you been using social media platforms? Which ones?

Social media is a popular way to connect with others online, and many employers may want to know if you have experience using social media platforms. If you do, consider which ones you use most often and why.

Example: “I’ve been using social media for about five years now. I started out on Facebook but quickly moved over to Instagram because of the more visual nature of it. I also like that there are no ads or sponsored content on Instagram, so I can focus on connecting with other people without any distractions. I’m not as active on Twitter, but I still check in every once in a while.”

16. In your opinion, what makes a great manager?

This question can help the interviewer get to know you as a potential employee and how you might fit into their company culture. When answering, it can be helpful to think about what makes your current or past manager great.

Example: “A great manager is someone who is always willing to listen to their team members and provide support when needed. They are also someone who is able to set realistic goals for their employees while still encouraging them to do their best work. I’ve had several managers like this in my career, and they have helped me grow both personally and professionally.”

17. When was a time you felt stressed at work, how did you cope with it?

Employers ask this question to learn more about your ability to handle stress and how you cope with it. When answering, try to think of a specific example that shows you have the skills to manage stress in the workplace.

Example: “I once had an extremely busy day at work where I was working on several projects at once. I felt stressed because I wanted to get everything done as quickly as possible but also make sure I did everything correctly. To cope with my stress, I took a few deep breaths and focused on one task at a time. This helped me stay calm and complete all of my tasks for the day.”

18. Do you have experience managing multiple projects and deadlines?

This question can help the interviewer determine if you have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once. Use examples from your experience that highlight your organizational skills, time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Example: “In my previous role as a network administrator, I was responsible for managing multiple projects and deadlines at once. For example, one of my main responsibilities was maintaining our company’s firewall security. In this role, I had to ensure all new employees were properly trained on how to use the firewall system and maintain it themselves. This process included creating training materials, scheduling training sessions and monitoring employee progress.”

19. Tell me about a time you struggled in a leadership position, how did you overcome it?

This question is a great way to show your ability to learn from mistakes and grow as a leader. When answering this question, it can be helpful to discuss a specific situation where you learned something new or developed a skill that helped you overcome the challenge.

Example: “In my last position, I was responsible for leading a team of five employees. One day, one of my employees called out sick, leaving me with only four employees to complete our work. I had never been in this situation before, so I wasn’t sure how to handle it. I decided to delegate tasks among the remaining employees and managed the project myself until my employee returned.”

20. Explain the difference between proactive and reactive solutions for software development, which one do you think is better?

This question is designed to test your knowledge of the two types of solutions and how they work. It also allows you to show that you can make a decision based on what’s best for the company.

Example: “Proactive solutions are those that prevent problems from occurring, while reactive solutions are used when issues have already occurred. I think proactive solutions are better because they allow you to avoid many security issues before they occur. They’re also more cost-effective in the long run.”
