Agility Interview Process

2. How comfortable are you with working abroad?

Employers may ask this question to see if you have experience working in other countries. If you do, they can learn about your experiences and how well you adapted to the different cultures. If you don’t have international work experience, you can talk about how eager you are to travel and explore new places.

Example: “I’ve worked abroad for two years at my current job. I was nervous when I first started, but now I love traveling and experiencing new cultures. I’m always excited to meet new people and try new foods. I think that having international work experience has made me more adaptable and confident.”

3. Can you tell me about a time that you were able to handle conflict within your team/department?

Example: “I have experience managing two different types of teams. At my previous job, I managed a small team of five people who worked together on the same project every day. We had weekly meetings where we discussed our progress and any challenges we faced. The other type of team I’ve led was for a project at my last job where I was responsible for leading a group of 10 employees from various departments to create a new product. This required more communication between all members of the team as well as with management.”

5. Tell us about a time when you had to work on a tight deadline, how did you manage it?

6. Explain what Agile development means to you.

This question is a great way to show your interviewer that you understand the importance of Agile development and how it can benefit their company. Use examples from your experience to explain what Agile means to you, and why it’s important for businesses to use this method when developing software.

Example: “Agile development is an essential part of my work as a developer because it allows me to create efficient solutions for clients quickly. I’ve found that many companies prefer working with developers who are familiar with Agile methods because they know we’ll be able to meet their needs more efficiently than other developers.”

7. Why do you want to work at Agility?

Example: “In my last role as a supply chain analyst, I led a software project that focused on improving our company’s inventory management system. The goal of the project was to reduce costs by streamlining the way we managed our inventory. To accomplish this, I worked with my team to create a detailed plan for implementing new technology into our existing systems. We also created a timeline for when each phase of the project would be completed.”

11. Describe a time where you used your communication skills to successfully complete a task or assignment.

Communication is an important skill for supply chain professionals to have. Employers ask this question to see if you can effectively communicate with your team members and other stakeholders in the company. Use examples from previous experiences where you used your communication skills to help others understand a project or idea.

Example: “In my last role, I was responsible for managing our inventory levels. One day, we received a large shipment of products that were damaged during transit. My team and I had to decide how many units we could sell before replacing them. We decided to hold off on selling any until we replaced all of the damaged ones. I communicated with my team about the situation so they knew what was happening and why. This helped everyone stay informed and feel confident in their roles.”

12. What are some tools and techniques you use to plan out projects?

This question can help interviewers understand how you approach planning and organizing your work. Use examples from past projects to explain the steps you take when developing a plan for a project or goal.

Example: “I use several tools to organize my plans, including Trello, Google Sheets and Microsoft Project. I find that these tools are useful for keeping track of different aspects of a project, such as deadlines, tasks and resources. In my last role, I used these tools to create an actionable plan for each new client we worked with. This helped me stay organized while also providing transparency to clients about what we were doing to meet their needs.”

13. Tell me about a time where you had to learn something new.

This question can help an interviewer get a better sense of your ability to adapt and learn new things. Use this opportunity to showcase how you approach learning something new, including the steps you take to research information or ask for help when needed.

Example: “When I first started working in supply chain management, I had no prior experience with it. My company hired me as a project manager, so I was responsible for managing several projects at once. One day, my team members asked me about a specific metric they were tracking on their projects. I didn’t know what that metric meant, but I knew I couldn’t ignore them. So, I researched the metric online and found out what it represented. From there, I learned more about other metrics and how they apply to supply chain management.”

14. Are you familiar with AI and machine learning?

Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are two important concepts in the field of agility. Your interviewer may ask this question to see if you have experience with these concepts, as they can be useful tools for improving business processes. If you do have experience with AI or machine learning, explain how it helped your organization.

Example: “I am familiar with both AI and machine learning. In my last role, I used machine learning algorithms to analyze data from our supply chain management software. This allowed me to identify areas where we could improve efficiency and reduce costs. It also gave us a better understanding of customer needs so that we could deliver products more quickly.”

15. What areas of IT are you most interested in?

This question is a great way to show your interviewer that you have an interest in the company’s IT department and what they do. It also gives them insight into how you might fit into their team if you’re hired. When answering this question, it can be helpful to mention specific projects or initiatives that you’ve worked on in the past.

Example: “I’m most interested in DevOps because I love working with developers and operations teams to create efficient solutions for businesses. 17. Walk us through a typical day for yourself as a software engineer.

This question is a great way to learn more about the daily responsibilities of an engineer and how they apply their skills in the workplace.

Example: “A typical day for me as a software engineer would start with checking my email for any urgent messages or updates from my team members. I’d then check our project management system to see what tasks were due that day, and if there are any issues that need to be addressed immediately. After this, I’ll begin working on the task at hand by researching the problem and creating a solution using my programming knowledge. Once I’ve completed the task, I’ll submit it to my team lead for review.”

18. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Employers ask this question to learn more about your career goals and how you plan to achieve them. When answering, it’s important to be honest about what you want for yourself in the future. You can also use this opportunity to show that you have a long-term view of your career and are willing to work hard to get there.

Example: “I see myself as an operations manager at this company. I’ve been working toward this goal since starting my career, and I’m excited to continue growing with this organization. I know that if I keep putting in the effort, I’ll eventually reach this position.”

19. Have you ever worked with databases, if so which ones?

This question is a great way to show your knowledge of working with databases and how you can apply that experience to the role. If you have worked with databases in the past, explain which ones you’ve used and what you did with them. If you haven’t worked with databases before, it’s okay to say so and then talk about other ways you’ve organized data or information.

Example: “I’ve worked with several different database systems throughout my career. I started out using Microsoft Access when I was still in school, but now I use SQL Server as part of my job at my current company.”

20. How do you feel about working overtime?

Employers may ask this question to see if you’re willing to work extra hours when needed. They want employees who are dedicated and hardworking, so they might be looking for someone who is willing to put in the extra time when it’s required. In your answer, try to show that you’re a team player who will do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Example: “I’m happy to work overtime if it means getting the job done. I know sometimes there are unexpected circumstances that require us to stay late or come in on weekends. I am committed to my career and would never leave before a project was finished.”
