How to See Dividends on Robinhood: History & Payouts

Robinhood shows both past and upcoming dividends in your account’s History section. You can get there in a few taps on the mobile app or a few clicks on the web. Here’s exactly where to look, plus how to check pending payments, reinvestment settings, and tax documents.

Finding Your Dividend History

To see every dividend you’ve received or have scheduled:

  • Tap the Account icon (the person silhouette in the bottom-right corner)
  • Tap Menu (the three horizontal bars) or Settings (the gear icon)
  • Select History, then tap Dividends

This screen lists each dividend payment alongside the stock’s ticker symbol, the dollar amount, and the date it was paid. Scroll through to see your full history of dividend income across every position in your account.

Checking Pending and Scheduled Dividends

If a company has declared a dividend but hasn’t paid it yet, Robinhood labels it as “Pending” in that same History section. Next to the stock’s symbol you’ll see the scheduled payment date and the expected amount. Keep in mind that Robinhood distributes dividends only after the issuing company processes the payment, so if the company itself is late, your deposit will be delayed too.

You can also check pending dividends on a per-stock basis. Open the detail page for any individual stock you own and look under “Upcoming activity.” Any declared but unpaid dividends, including reinvestments, will appear there.

Checking Your Reinvestment Settings

Robinhood offers automatic dividend reinvestment, sometimes called DRIP. When it’s turned on, your cash dividends are used to buy more shares (or fractional shares) of the same stock instead of sitting as cash in your account.

Once you enable DRIP, you’ll see a list of all your holdings that are eligible for reinvestment. Each one has a toggle, so you can choose to reinvest dividends from some stocks while collecting cash from others. If you’re not sure whether reinvestment is active for a particular holding, go to that stock’s detail page. Any pending reinvestment will show up under “Upcoming activity” alongside pending cash dividends.

Finding Dividend Tax Documents

At tax time, Robinhood generates a consolidated 1099 form that includes your dividend income (the portion that used to be a standalone 1099-DIV). To find it:

  • Tap the Account icon
  • Tap Menu (skip this step if you’re on the desktop site)
  • Go to Tax center
  • Select a form to review its details

Tax documents are typically available by mid-February for the prior tax year. The form breaks out ordinary dividends and qualified dividends separately, which matters because qualified dividends are taxed at the lower capital-gains rate rather than your ordinary income rate. You can view the form directly in the app or download a PDF.

Dividend Notifications

Robinhood sends push notifications when a dividend is deposited into your account. If you’re not seeing these alerts, check your phone’s notification settings for the Robinhood app and make sure they’re enabled. Inside the app, you can also review notification preferences under the Settings or Menu area of your account profile. Even if you miss the alert, the payment will still appear in your dividend history and show up as a transaction in your account activity.
