How to See Your Debit Card Number on the Chase App

You can view your full debit card number in the Chase Mobile app by tapping on your checking account from the home screen and looking for the option to see your card details. The full 16-digit number, expiration date, and CVV are all accessible within the app, which is especially useful if you don’t have your physical card handy or are still waiting for it to arrive in the mail.

Finding Your Card Number in the App

Open the Chase Mobile app on your iPhone or Android device and sign in. From the home screen, tap on the checking account linked to the debit card you want to view. Look for the option labeled “See card” or a similar card image, then tap “See details” to reveal your full card number, expiration date, and security code (the three-digit CVV on the back of a physical card).

Chase will typically ask you to verify your identity before displaying the full number. This may mean re-entering your password, confirming with Face ID or fingerprint, or answering a security prompt. Once verified, the details appear on screen for a limited time before being hidden again.

If you have more than one debit card tied to different Chase checking accounts, make sure you select the correct account first. Each card’s details are tied to its specific account.

Using Your Card Before It Arrives

If you just opened a Chase checking account or requested a replacement debit card, you don’t have to wait for the physical plastic to start spending. Chase lets you use your new card right away through digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

To set this up, open the Chase Mobile app and choose the card you want to add. Scroll down to “Account Services,” then tap “Digital Wallets.” From there, select your preferred digital wallet and follow the prompts to add your new or recently replaced card. Once added, you can tap to pay at stores, use the card for online purchases, and make in-app payments without ever touching the physical card.

To take advantage of this feature, you need an existing Chase login. If you’re opening a brand-new account, create your username and password during the application process so the card is ready to add to a digital wallet as soon as you’re approved.

Why the Card Number May Not Appear

A few things can prevent you from seeing your debit card number in the app. The most common is an outdated version of the Chase Mobile app. If you don’t see the option to view card details, update the app through the App Store or Google Play and try again.

Your card details also won’t show up on the Chase desktop website the same way they do in the mobile app. Viewing the full card number is a mobile-app-only feature, so you’ll need to use your phone or tablet. If you’re logged in on a computer and need the number, switch to the app instead.

If the card has been reported lost, stolen, or frozen, Chase may block access to the details until you resolve the issue. You can call the number on the back of any Chase card or reach customer service through the app’s secure messaging feature to sort it out.

What You Can Do With the Number

Once you can see your full debit card number in the app, you can use it for online shopping, set up recurring bill payments, or add the card to payment platforms without needing the physical card in front of you. This is particularly helpful when your card is lost, damaged, or simply in another room.

Keep in mind that your debit card number is sensitive information. Avoid screenshotting it or writing it somewhere unsecured. The Chase app hides the number after a short period for exactly this reason. If you need to reference it again later, just repeat the same steps to pull it up.
