HireRight Interview Process

I listened to her concerns and explained our company’s policies on maternity leave and flexible scheduling. After we talked, she felt much better and even thanked me for my help.”

2. Do you have any experience working in the background screening industry?

HireRight is a background screening company, so they want to know if you have any experience in the industry. If you do, explain what your role was and how it helped you prepare for this position. If you don’t have direct experience, you can talk about why you’re interested in working in this field.

Example: “I actually don’t have any direct experience in the background screening industry, but I am very passionate about helping people find employment. I believe that my customer service skills make me an excellent candidate for this position because I understand the importance of making sure candidates are qualified for their positions. I also think my attention to detail makes me well-suited for this job.”

3. What do you think are the most important qualities for a successful team member?

This question can help the interviewer determine if you have the qualities they look for in their team members. When answering this question, it can be helpful to mention a few of your own personal qualities and how they relate to those that are important for successful teamwork.

Example: “I think communication is one of the most important qualities for a successful team member. I always make sure to communicate with my coworkers when I need something or have an idea. 4. How would you handle an angry client or customer?

Interviewers may ask this question to see how you handle conflict. They want to know that you can remain calm and professional when faced with a challenging situation. In your answer, try to show the interviewer that you have the ability to diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts quickly.

Example: “I would first listen to what they had to say and then apologize for any inconvenience or frustration they experienced. I would also do my best to solve their problem as soon as possible so they could leave satisfied. If I couldn’t solve the issue right away, I would offer them a solution and tell them when I would be able to follow through on it.”

5. Describe a time when you had to work on several projects at once and how you handled it.

Employers ask this question to see if you can handle multitasking. They want to know that you are organized and have the ability to prioritize your tasks. When answering, make sure to highlight your organizational skills and how you plan out your day.

6. What is your experience with researching information online, especially sensitive information?

Hiring managers may ask this question to learn more about your online research skills and how you handle confidential information. When answering, consider describing a time when you researched sensitive information and the steps you took to ensure it remained private.

Example: “In my last role as an HR manager, I had to look up employee records in order to find out if they were eligible for benefits. I used several privacy settings on my browser so that no one else could see what I was looking at. Then, I printed the documents I needed and kept them in a locked drawer in my desk.”

7. Have you ever worked in a fast-paced environment? If so, describe some of your experiences.

Employers ask this question to see if you can handle a busy work environment. They want employees who are able to keep up with the demands of their job and perform well in high-pressure situations. In your answer, explain how you manage stress and prioritize tasks when working under pressure.

Example: “I have worked in a fast-paced environment before, and I enjoy it because it challenges me to stay organized and meet deadlines. However, I always make sure to plan ahead so that I don’t feel overwhelmed by my workload. For example, I like to create daily to-do lists so that I know what needs to get done each day. This helps me stay on top of my work and ensures that I am getting everything done.”

8. Why do you want to work at HireRight?

9. What type of research experience do you have?

After that, I presented them with a new plan that would meet all of their needs while also saving them money.”

11. What are your short term & long term career goals?

When answering, be sure to include what you hope to achieve in the next few years as well as a longer-term goal. This can help show that you have plans for growth within the organization.

Example: “I am currently working toward my CPA certification, which I plan to earn by the end of 2018. In the long term, I would like to become a partner at an accounting firm. I believe that HireRight is a great place to start on that path because of its reputation for training and developing employees.”

12. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with difficult people or situations.

Interviewers ask this question to see how you handle conflict. They want to know that you can remain calm and professional in challenging situations. When answering, focus on your ability to solve problems and work with others.

Example: “In my last position as a customer service representative, I had a client who was very upset about the product they received. 13. Are you comfortable making phone calls?

Example: “I am very comfortable making phone calls, but I understand that some people aren’t. In my previous role, I had to call customers who hadn’t paid their bills in months. At first, I was nervous, but after a few weeks of practice, I got used to it. Now, I’m much more confident on the phone.”

14. Tell me about a time when you went above and beyond for a customer.

This question is a great way to show your interviewer that you are willing to go the extra mile for customers. It also shows them how you can use your skills and abilities to benefit others. When answering this question, think of an example where you went above and beyond for a customer and helped them achieve their goals or solve a problem.

Example: “I once had a client who was looking for a new website design. They were very specific about what they wanted, but I still needed to do some research on different designs before presenting them with options. I spent several hours researching websites and comparing features until I found three designs that matched my client’s specifications. This allowed me to present them with multiple options so they could choose the one they liked best.”

15. What does excellent customer service mean to you?

Interviewers may ask this question to see how you define excellent customer service. They want to know that you understand what it means to provide quality customer care and support. In your answer, explain what makes a good customer experience and how you would apply those principles in your role.

Example: “Excellent customer service is when I can help customers find the information they need or solve their problem quickly. It’s also important to me that I am friendly and helpful while doing so. When I worked at my previous job, I had a lot of repeat customers who came in for our services. I always made sure to greet them by name and remember details about their account. This helped build trust with our clients and led to more sales.”

16. What computer programs do you have experience with?

This question is a great way to see how the candidate’s skills match up with the job description. It also gives you an idea of what computer programs they are comfortable using and which ones they may need training on. If the company uses specific software, it can be beneficial for them to have experience with that program.

Example: “I am very familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. I’ve used these programs in my previous positions as well as when completing freelance projects. I’m also proficient with Google Drive and Dropbox.”

17. Provide an example of a time when you were able to be creative with your work.

Employers ask this question to see if you have the ability to think outside of the box and come up with unique solutions. This is an important skill for any job, but it’s especially useful in a marketing role where you may be tasked with coming up with new ideas for campaigns or products.

Example: “At my last job, I was tasked with creating a social media campaign that would increase our brand awareness. After brainstorming several different ideas, I decided to create a series of videos on YouTube featuring one of our employees talking about their experiences working at our company. 18. Would you say that you are a good listener?

This question is a good way to test your communication skills. Employers ask this question because they want to know that you are actively listening to what they have to say and how you can improve their company. In your answer, try to show the interviewer that you value their opinion and will take their feedback seriously.

Example: “Yes, I would definitely say that I am a good listener. Throughout my career, I’ve had many managers who gave me constructive criticism about my work. I always took their advice seriously and tried to implement it into my daily tasks. As a result, I became more efficient at my job and learned new ways to complete assignments.”

19. Do you have previous account management experience?

This question is a great way to determine if you have the skills and experience needed for this role. Employers ask this question because they want to know what kind of experience you have in managing accounts, how many clients you’ve managed at once and whether or not you’ve ever had any issues with your previous employers. When answering this question, make sure to highlight your relevant skills and experiences while also being honest about any gaps in your resume.

Example: “I do have previous account management experience. In my last position as an account manager, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of client satisfaction, including responding to customer inquiries, resolving problems and ensuring that our clients were happy with their service. I also worked closely with my team to ensure we met our sales goals each month.”

20. We receive requests from clients all over the world, can you work with different languages and cultures?

Hiring managers want to know that you can work with people from different backgrounds and cultures. They may ask this question to see if you have experience working with international clients or customers in the past. If you haven’t, they may also be looking for a reason to eliminate you as a candidate. In your answer, try to show that you are open-minded and willing to learn about new cultures.

Example: “I’ve worked with many international clients in my previous role. I learned how to communicate with them using email and online chat tools. While I’m not fluent in any other languages, I am always eager to learn more about other cultures. I think it’s important to respect others’ customs and traditions.”
